Stomp Out Sarcoma

Team Bernard

Hello, It's been 10 years since Bernard Danan lost his brave battle with sarcoma at the age of 40. We would love for you to join us at this event to help find a cure for cancer!

Join our team for the Stomp Out Sarcoma Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, July 15 at 9 am at Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter! We’ll have fun, exercise, and support the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center. This event is all about bringing community members together with doctors, patients, nurses, physician assistants, patients’ family members, nurse practitioners, and researchers outside the hospital, united in one cause: fighting sarcoma.

Sarcoma is a rare connective tissue malignancy (cancer) that affects people of all ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, races, and ethnicities. Sarcomas make up about 1% of all adult cancers. Due to this rarity, patients often feel isolated after being diagnosed and throughout treatment.

Stomp Out Sarcoma was started by a group of health care providers in the Sarcoma Clinic at the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center to raise awareness about this rare disease and to provide support to patients, families, caregivers, and friends affected by sarcoma. All proceeds from the fun run/walk will go to the Sarcoma Clinical Research Fund at the U-M Rogel Cancer Center, to help researchers and clinicians better understand this disease and find more effective treatments. This money, however, doesn't go to the Bernard Danan Fund

We hope to see you on July 15!
