WELCOME TO GIVING BLUEDAY!!!!
Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan (DMUM) raises funds and awareness for pediatric rehabilitation programs at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor and Beaumont Children’s in Royal Oak, MI. Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan is the largest student-run non-profit organization in Michigan and I’m so excited to be a part of this organization for my senior year at U of M! The therapies we sponsor offer children the opportunity to participate in activities that allow them to just be kids. The therapies include tree climbing, swimming, martial arts, dancing, bowling, creative coping, and many more (including bicycle races)!
As a senior in nursing school at U of M, I have so many amazing experiences on the inpatient units of C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and get to see so much progress my patients make, but it is great to also be a part of the work done for the kids outside of the hospital through DMUM therapies!
On March 25th, 2016 I will be standing on my feet for 24 consecutive hours with over 1,000 of my fellow students and friends, including my co-captain Alexis Valenciano and our team, to support the children and families who benefit directly from the programs we raise money for! Please consider helping me to reach my goal on GIVING BLUEDAY of $200 and overall goal of $500 for the kids!
Always For the Kids,
Every gift, no matter the size, can truly change lives (:
