First off, thank you for visiting my page! My name is Raza Khan, and I'm a senior studying aerospace engineering here at the University of Michigan. This is going to be my fourth year as a part of the Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan (DMUM), and I am very excited for the year to come.
At the University of Michigan, we like to emphasize the importance of "the team, the team, the team". Here at DMUM, we embrace that, but we also go one step further. Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan is all about family. We are a fundraising organization dedicated to supporting children participating in pediatric rehabilitation programs at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and Beaumont Childrens in Royal Oak, Michigan. We also provide the families of these children with a safe and reliable community of student volunteers. Throughout the year, our student volunteers work hard to engage with and learn more about the children. We spend endless hours fundraising, motivated only by the smiles we see on the childrens' faces. At the end of the year, we celebrate our achievements with our capstone event, Victorthon. During this 24-hour event, all 1000+ members of DMUM come together with the families one last time, and we pledge to remain standing and active for the entirety of the event. Yes, we stand for all 24 hours!
For this year, my goal is to raise $500 For The Kids in honor of the 5 individuals that have defined my DMUM experience! I really hope that you consider donating to help me achieve this goal. If you can't do that right now, that's totally ok! Just make sure to share my story, and the story of DMUM, with all your friends. I hope that you have a wonderful time, and thank you again for visiting my page!
